Amy's Go to Green Smoothie

I feel my best when I eat at least two green-based meals a day. Starting the day with a blend of fruits and veggies helps get me started on the right foot. My basic recipe is a spin on Kimberly Snyder's Glowing Green Smoothie, with a few modifications. This recipe serves at least two.

Go-To Green Smoothie
Ingredients
  • 1 Green Apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 2 Celery Stalks
  • 1 whole or about 5 inches Cucumber
  • 2 handfuls Spinach
  • 1" knob, peeled Ginger
  • Handful Basil Leaves
  • 1 whole, peeled Orange
  • 1.5 cup Filtered water
  • 1 Banana - frozen or fresh
Instructions
Chop pear, apple, cucumber, and celery. Peel the orange and banana. Add all ingredients to the blender, beginning with the spinach. Add the water to the blender. Serve as is or with freshly grated ginger on top (pictured).
